Back for another year, this year’s Tapas Fantasticas event is inspired by Calle Laurel, Rioja’s famous tapas crawl. Tapas Fantasticas will introduce this unique dining experience to London, with pop-up offerings from some of London’s best tapas restaurants, including Jose, Iberica and Hispania. Over 30 Rioja wineries will also be on hand to help wash the fantastic food down and visitors will also be able to get involved in wine walks with wine experts Olly Smith and Susy Atkins. Pimm’s Summer Garden, WC2. 19-29 June
Whatever the weather, visitors to the Summer Garden will be able to sit back and enjoy a cheeky glass of Pimm’s, snap up summer goodies in the Potting Shed, or become part of The Pimm’s Picnic Club by booking an exclusive Blanket Reservation. Picnic Hampers will be filled with a selection of specially designed Pimm’s goodies, based on traditional English picnic foods. Rekorderlig Midsummer House @ Victoria Park, E9. 21 June-5 July
Visitors to Rekorderlig’s Midsummer House will step out of the urban capital and straight into a blissful oasis that captures cool Scandi-style, including a relaxed outdoor area overlooking the tranquil waters of the lake. Food comes courtesy of native Scandinavian chefs Norse by NorseWest and their special menu of ‘Korv med brod’ – Swedish style hot dogs with freshly made toppings including wild lingonberry, prawn salad and Danish Remoulade. Cointreau Fizz Garden Parties@ The Skyroom, SE1. Every Tuesday until 2 July
Cointreau is celebrating the arrival of summer with the Cointreau Fizz Garden Party series at the secluded rooftop garden at The Skyroom, London Bridge. The space has been transformed into a lush flower garden complete with garden games, a garden shed photobooth and, of course, an elegant Cointreau Fizz bar. Guests will be served chic Parisian inspired snacks including savoury macarons and desserts with edible flowers, while enjoying a Cointreau Fizz or two and watching the sun set over the London skyline. Bermondsey Village Feast @ Tanner & Co, SE1. 20 June

This feast will provide a fun-filled family style evening bringing together the SE1 community over dinner, drinks and dancing. Food comes courtesy of a collaboration between Village East, The Garrison, Zucca, and Jose Pizarro whilst Jensen’s Gin will be serving up Bermondsey Gin cocktails. The evening will be in aid of Magic Breakfast – a charity which delivers free, nutritious breakfasts to 7,500 primary students to help concentrate on learning at school. The Balvenie Whisky Fete, WC1. 13-15 June
Part of The Balvenie’s celebration of British craftsmanship, the green of Tavistock Square is being transformed into a whisky fete, where people can mingle, discuss all things handcrafted and enjoy a wee dram. The fete will feature bespoke Geodesic domes made from whisky barrels where demonstrations and tastings will be held. Beyond Balvenie, other iconic brands involved in the activities will be Gieves & Hawkes providing a sartorial masterclass and Schofield watches to provide an insight into world-class watchmaking. Taste of London, Regents Park, 20-23 June
Taste of London is back for its 10th year to celebrate London’s vibrant restaurant scene. Visitors will have the opportunity to try dishes from old favourites and new trendsetters, including Sushisamba, Lima, Le Gavroche and Tamarind. Chef groupies can also get up close and personal with their idols through the Taste Theatre cooking masterclasses, whilst those who enjoy a glass of bubbly can take part in the Laurent-Perrier Champagne masterclass. Following the success of the award-winning Zetter Townhouse, Bruno Loubet has once again joined forces with bartender Tony Conigliaro to create an innovative restaurant and bar concept. The bar menu at Grain Store has been developed by Tony to complement Bruno’s food, with drinks based around the concepts Savoury, Smoked Wine and Non-Alcoholic. The internationally inspired food menu explores a different side to Bruno Loubet’s creativity with a particular emphasis on giving vegetables equal billing with meat dishes, including Courgette, broad bean & prawn falafel; and Chilled lobster ‘Bloody Mary’. www.grainstore.com

Furnished with a mish mash of vintage and reclaimed furniture and lighting, Galeto evokes the atmosphere of the Rio Favelas with its walls adorned with the street art of renowned Brazilian graffiti artist Milo Tchais. Galeto means ‘little chicken’ in Latin Portuguese and its signature dish is a 24 hour marinated and grilled half-chicken is served with a choice of Molhos dips including tropical fruit barbeque , hot spicy coriander and garlic cream. Tequila Don Julio 1942 is one of the most coveted tequilas in the world, and Don Julio has finally introduced this ultra-premium expression into the UK. 1942 commemorates the year that late founder Don Julio Gonzalez began his tequila-making journey in the Los Altos region in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Using prime blue agave, Don Julio González created this unique batch of tequila aged for at least two and a half years in American white oak barrels. Adding to its exclusivity, 1942 in a specific small-batch still that produces only three barrels per cycle. The result is a silky, smooth character that coats the palate with roasted agave flavours, vanilla and spiced undertones to create a truly special tequila experience that will appeal to any aficionado of fine spirits. Wild Turkey 81 Bourbon

Launched in the UK in early 2012, Wild Turkey 81 has been something of a well-kept secret among bartenders. Having recently been awarded a ‘Gold – Best in Class’ award at the International Spirits Challenge, the bourbon will no doubt be hoping to win the hearts of spirits fans everywhere. Like the rest of the Wild Turkey family, 81 is lovingly crafted in original Bourbon country – Kentucky, USA. Comprising of whiskies of up to eight years old, the use of the famous Wild Turkey high-rye mash ensures that Wild Turkey 81 delivers a spicy kick, whilst the deep char used on the barrels delivers a rich and complex flavour. The experience is full and deep with some sweet notes beautifully balanced by ripe fruit and a touch of spice. The solid hand-crafted cubes of soapstone are non-porous and impart neither flavour nor odour, so won’t compromise the integrity or flavour of your favourite dram. Gentler than ice, they are particularly suitable to whiskies with an alcohol strength below 43% as these are generally least likely to benefit from the considerable natural dilution that occurs from using ice cubes.
